Escape From Naraka is a first-person platformer with its imagery of hell influenced by Balinese legends. The team at Xelo Games, and publisher HeadUp Games, has announced that there will be a demo available for the upcoming indie tittle.
You can expect the demo to drop during the upcoming Steam Next Fest (formerly known as Steam Game Festival) on June 16.
Escape From Naraka is also influenced by the likes of Doom, Dark Deception and most notable of all, SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell (also published by HeadUp).
In Escape From Naraka, you are trapped in the labyrinth where the evil demon Rangda The Leyak Queen rules. You’re in hell to save your loved one, but in order to do that, you’ll be dodging taps and climbing through hell where perfect timing is key.
And yes, there will be leaderboards for the competitive folks and speedrunners.
Escape From Naraka is expected to release on PC in Q3 2021.
