Endless Legend 2 Enters Early Access This August

Amplitude’s next 4X game has a release date. Revealed during the PC Gaming Show 2025 showcase, Endless Legend 2 has locked its Early Access release date. It’s coming this August.

On a new oceanic world of Saiadha, players take control of one of five different faction as they explore, expand, exploit and/or exterminate in this strategy game. Outside of dealing with competing major factions, players will also be interacting with the minor faction dotted around the generated map, and also take on narrative-driven challenges.

Endless Legend 2 revealed three of its five initial factions already: the Kin, the Aspects and a different variant of the Necrophage as seen in the previous game.

What sets the Endless Legend series apart from other 4X games is how properly different each major faction are. It’s not just a different bonus stat buff here or a nerf there. One faction can’t even engage in diplomacy whatsoever. Another can only control one city. On top of that, it also employs a turn-based tactics combat system utilising the terrain as tile pieces, where you can have a hero with RPG-like stats to lead your units.

Endless Legend 2 enters Early Access on August 7 on PC (Steam). Check out our impressions on an early build of the game here.
