Eidos Montreal, the team that successfully brought Deus Ex back in modern times, will now focus on online gaming. As found in its new vision statement, the team are “placing an added emphasis on the online experiences in our games, striving to continually provide players with content that is memorable and impactful.”
The studio’s pedigree is mostly on single-player games. But the team has dabbled with online games-as-a-service in the Deus Ex: Mankind Dividied’s Breach mode, which is now available as a free standalone game. Deus Ex is still in hiatus (but not abandoned), which means that their next projects, which includes games using the Marvel licence, will have an online element to it.
As such, there are now openings for a lead programmer for multiplayer and a senior online programmer in Eidos Montreal.
