Game subscriptions sound like a nice convenience.. until they don’t. Imagine having to subscribe to multiple different subscriptions to really get all the games you want to play.
So this news is actually pretty big. Xbox Game Pass will include titles under EA Play, EA’s own game subscription. At no extra cost.
This will be included for all subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Windows 10, Android mobile device via streaming) and Xbox Game Pass For PC (Windows 10). So Xbox Game Pass For Console does not include EA Play.
EA Play lets you access over 60 EA games including Titanfall 2, Need For Speed Heat and The Sims. It also offers 10-hour trials for upcoming games. The rebranded subscription service just recently launched on Steam.
No exact date when EA Play will be added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass For PC subscriptions, but good guess would be around November 10, when the Xbox Series next-gen consoles arrive.
Now if only Xbox Game Pass can be described in more regions in Southeast Asia. In the meantime, we have a guide to get Game Pass in unsupported regions here.
