It is official, EA has confirmed that their long-running Football series will be changing names next year from FIFA to the quite mouthful title of “EA Sports FC”, with FIFA 23 will be the last title using this moniker, due to the partnership split between EA and the FIFA Federation after 30 years.
Executive VP of EA Sports, Cam Weber, has state that while they will be using a new title, most of the more iconic aspect of the game, namely Ultimate Team and Volta, will be intact when the developer switches to the new name in 2023.
Curiously, we can only imagine how this final edition of the EA FIFA series will include but with their agreement with FIFAPro, the federation body for the actual Footballers, they won’t be issues with players or teams.
We shall see how it goes when FIFA 23 gets an announcement sometime soon, while we also won’t see any news about EAS FC till next year.
