E3 2018: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Announced With All Previous Characters Returning

The Smash Bros, game for the Switch has been revealed and it is indeed a new game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is built upon the previous Smash game, but with big hook that all characters from previous games are returning. From the DLC characters in Smash For WiiU like Ryu, Bayonetta and Cloud to Solid Snake in Smash Brawl, Nintendo is boasting that this is the biggest crossover in a video game.

Alongside that, two new characters, Inkling from Splatoon and Metroid’s Ridley, the gargantuan monster that fans wanted to be part of the roster is now here. The roster is also handling slight pallete-swapped characters differently this time. Rather than having their own slot, characters like Dark Pit, Lucina and new to the series Daisy are now classify as Echo Characters for Pit, Marth and Peach respectively.

The roster is now 65 characters strong. More stages were also shown and confirmed.

A huge chunk of the Nintendo Direct was dedicated with introducing many small changes, which is said to have been ten of thousands in numbers. It’s 25 mintues long and you can watch it here:

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will bring all the warriors back when it’s available on December 7th, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.
