Dragon Ball fans around the world has certainly lend their energy to make the launch of Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero has sold more than three million units worldwide, including digital sales like sales on Steam. That was achieved in only the first 24 hours of launch, so total sales have yet to peak.
Bandai Namco released Tekken 8 this year to the sales of over two million copies within a month, which means Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is the faster selling fighting game between the two.
Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is the latest entry to the long-running Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi series.
It may have a new name (outside of Japan that is—the Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi series has always been called Dragon Ball Sparking! in Japan so this is the series’ Like A Dragon moment), but Sparking! Zero is still an arena fighter (fighting game with a behind-the-back third-person camera and full freedom of movement around the arena) like past Budokai Tenkaichi games. this
For Sparking! Zero, the character roster is the biggest yet with a record-high attendance of exactly 182 playable characters. The game is also running on Unreal Engine 5.
