Dragon Age 4 Now Called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

Bioware has revealed the official name of the next Dragon Age game, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. The fourth game in the RPG series may now not refer to Dragon Age 4 anymore.

As for why there are two different creatures now in the title with that subtitle choice, the Bioware blog post makes it clear what it’s referencing to: Solas, the Dread Wolf.

“Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.”

Folks who have played Dragon Age: Inquisition, the third Dragon Age game, should have heard of Solas who is one of the first party members you meet. And if you finished Inquisition, it makes more sense why he will be the center of this new game.

The first few teases from 2018 have teased Solas’ major role, so this should come as no surprise to fans who have been following the news.

More news on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will only be coming later this year. So don’t expect to hear anything during this month of many game announcements and reveals.
