Destiny 2 Got Pushed Earlier For September 6 Release, Coming To PC October 26

We’ve always heard of delays and games getting pushed back, but pushed earlier? That’s rare, though not by much. Destiny 2’s console release was scheduled for September 8 but has now been pushed to two days earlier- September 6.

No specifics on why it got an earlier release date, but who would be complaining about this? Enjoy a new trailer instead:

Alongside that announcement, the console beta has now been dated. PS4 will be getting it first on July 19 1AM (local time, +8 GMT). Xbox One players will get the access one day later also starting at 1AM.

These early access are for those who pre-ordered. Those that prefer not to do so will still have access to the beta, albeit a bit later on July 22 1AM. The beta concludes on July 24 12PM.

The PS4 version of Destiny 2 will have a timed exclusive content in the form of one extra competitive multiplayer map, one Strike (three player co-op) mission, one ship, legendary armour sets and one exotic sniper rifle.

PC will also be receiving a beta sometime in late August. A release date has also been confirmed for PC: October 26. As expected, it’s a much later than the console release, but if it means the PC is getting the proper love and treatment it should all be worth the wait.
