Dave The Diver, the small not-indie indie game by Mintrocket, has now sold more than 3 million copies.
The official Twitter for Dave The Diver revealed the numbers with a new artwork featuring Dave and the rest of the character cast of the game.
Dave The Diver has been the surprise hit of 2023 after it left Early Access. The game starts simple enough, fishing for fish using grappling hooks and guns in the day and at night, help run a sushi restaurant. But the depths of mini-games, new activities, and content, as you progress further into Dave’s new gig have kept players hooked.
The game was a subject of controversy for being nominated at The Game Awards for Best Indie Game, despite Mintrocket being affiliated to Nexon, an established large game publisher.
Still, regardless of this being an indie game or an indie-style game, Dave The Diver has certainly became a darling.
