Cyberpunkdreams Is A Free-To-Play Text-Based RPG About Surviving In Dystopia Cincinnati

Cyberpunk-themed games should be really getting popular, and here’s a new one to look forward to coming this summer. Cyberpunkdreams is a text-based RPG by indie devs Late Night Games, and will be released as a free-to-play title.

In Cyberpunkdreams, you are placed in an alternate future of dystopia Cincinnati of the 2090s. With all the expected cyberpunk themes- a corporate-run city, absolute wasteland outside of the city, and rain-slick coloured by neon street signs.

As this is a text-based RPG, all of the gameplay is about reading story vignettes and looking at sick art, with a lot of decision making choices along the way. You can create a variety of characters, including a smooth-talker, a street brute or a hacker.

Think of it like a visual novel, but with more RPG stats and inventory system in play.

Cyberpunkdreams will have choices that snowballed later (hopefully not a just a slight change like you see in most games), as well as an ever-expanding game with new content, area, story arcs and characters to be added over time.

Cyberpunkdreams will launch on Steam this summer (June-August 2021) as a free-to-play title, with optional microtransactions.
