The floodgates have open. Crusader Kings III is getting its first paid DLC (of possibly many, many more) in the form of Northern Lords.
This is dubbed a Flavour Pack- smaller DLC with a specific focus. And for Northern Lords, it’s all about the Norse people.
With the DLC, Norse characters may abandon their home in search of new lands. And you can embark on that journey yourself if you’re playing a Norse character.
(England’s probably a good place for a new home. Don’t mind the feuding lords over there.)
Alongside that, there are more roles for Norse people. You will see holy warriors, shieldmaidens and poets being added.
There will also be new Norse dynastic legacies, Norse blot sacrifices, trials by combat and cultural innovations, and new events.
Essentially, if you love the idea of playing as a viking, or doing a playthrough from a Norse dynasty, Northen Lords will enrichen your monarch sim/grand strategy game with more flavour and history that highlights this particular culture and society.
The good news is Northen Lords is cheap (by Paradox DLC standards) at RM17.50 on Steam. Though you can also get it with the Expansion Pass, which will include Northern Lords, another Flavour Pack DLC, an expansion (the meaty DLC) and an already released cosmetic pack for RM67.93.
Crusader Kings III Northern Lords will launch on March 18, later this week, on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store).
