Cook Food Any Way You Like In Cooking Sim Soup Pot

Cooking isn’t a set-in-stone procedure (unless it’s baking), and the fun of cooking can come from you improvising along the way.

Thankfully there’s a cooking sim game that’s embracing that idea. Soup Pot, from indie devs Chikon Club (based in the Philippines), lets you cook food any way you like.

You can also follow along with more than 100 recipes, but improvisation is highly encouraged.

While the name Soup Pot implies an emphasis on brothy food, there’s more than just soups that you can cook. This included rolling dough, deep-frying, and more.

Expect a large representation of Philippine cuisine and ingredients, with Japanese and Korean cuisines coming as DLC on release.

But at the end of the day, you are the Tim Curry of your soup potpourri. And anything you don’t like on the ingredients list, you can opt to not put them in. That’s just you cooking.

The Chef John references we made isn’t just us having fun either, Soup Pot is also about cooking the way you want while building an audience for it on the in-game social media.

First revealed at the ID@Xbox showcase three months ago, Soup Pot got another reveal at the Wholesome Direct 2021 stream, which where we got our attention.

Soup Pot is coming out to PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S this August.
