Co-Op FPS Generation Zero Releasing On March 26th

Avalanche Studio’s other FPS game that is not Rage 2, Generation Zero, now has a release date. Announced last year, it is a multiplayer shooter set in the developers’ backyard of Sweden set in 1980s. And big giant robots are out to kill what remains of humanity. Sounds like it could be a Black Mirror episode.

Generation Zero will have you do guerrilla combat to face these hulking machines, using traps, special equipment or the environment to your advantage. Each enemy is persistently simulated. As in, they are not just random enemies spawned at the location. If you flee from combat, you can find them again, carrying all the damage from your previous encounter.

The game features an open world powered by the Apex Engine which powered the Just Cause games and Rage 2. The game now has a release date.

Generation Zero will be out on March 26th for the PS4, PC (Steam) and Xbox One.
