Chinese Dota Team LGD Is Shaking Its Roster, Bringing In Malaysian Player xNova


It’s normal to see roster changes in the pro Dota scene post-The International, but Chinese team LGD GAming is doing something interesting, mostly because they picked up Malaysian player xNova to join the new roster.

LGD finished fourth at last year’s TI, performed behind its sister team LGD Forever Young which reached third place. Malaysian player ah fu was part of the team and delivered one of the best plays throughout the tournament.

The new roster shuffle was announced through Weibo (which was then translated over on the Dota 2 subreddit by QuickBlowFish.

Positions 3 and 5 have been replaced by new players Chalice and xNova, respectively. Team captain Yao will be inactive for the moment. fy, who joined post-TI, will be switching to his trademark offlane role. Ame and Somnus丶M remains in position 1 and 2 respectively.

xNova is mostly known for his time in WarriorsGaming.Unity, where him and ah fu were teammates in 2016.

The new lineup will be playing for the regional qualifiers of three tournaments that is he Bucharest Major, ESL One Katowice and the StarLadder i-League Invitational.
