ASUS has announced more of its ROG Strix G gaming laptops is coming to Malaysia this year. Earlier we’ve seen five new variants for the 2021 refresh of the ROG Strix G15 and G17. Now you can add four more, all powered by the new Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU.
As the number in the name implies, the RTX 3050 is lower in performance compared to the previous RTX 3060, but still comes with ray-tracing and Nvidia DLSS capabilities. As such, these new Strix G variants can drop below the RM5,000 price point it usual surpasses.
Plus, there is one special edition of the Strix G15 introduced here that comes in Electro Punk colour and a bundle of matching ROG accessories.
Here are the specs for the new 2021 ROG Strix G15 and G17 gaming laptops powered by RTX 3050 arriving in Malaysia.

Other than the new graphics card, everything else should be on par with the previously released 2021 Strix G15 and G17 refresh. This includes the now-trademark RGB strip underneath (or as we like to call it, underbody neon glow), 4-zone RGB keyboard, Wi-Fi 6 and no webcam. The G17 also has a LAN port which the G15 line doesn’t come with one.
All the new ROG Strix G15 and G17 featuring RTX 3050 will be available in Malaysia starting this month.
