The ROG Strix G gaming laptops for 2021 has started its rollout in Malaysia. Of the whole ASUS ROG lineup, the Strix G is the one for the masses, and one we highly recommended in the past.
The 2021 line has the Strix G adopting AMD Ryzen 5000 Series chips and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards. There’s some design tweaks- a triangle filled with tiny “ROG” letters making a dot pattern (ala the G14 Zephyrus), and a subtle but large “ROG” writing visible from the top view.
But more importantly, the underglow RGB from past years is still present.
Of the five variants announced coming to Malaysia this year, price range starts from RM5,799 to RM7,799, comes in either 15.6-inch screens (G15) or 17.3-inch (G17), and are all in Eclipse Gray colour.
