Capcom will be engaging with Resident Evil fans in Indonesia with a launch event for the upcoming release Resident Evil Requiem. More details have been announced following the initial reveal on what fans in Jakarta can expect from the weekend event.
The Resident Evil Requiem launch event booth will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM on February 28 to March 1 at Mini Atrium (LG) of Gandaria City Mall.
The launch event booth will feature a hands-on playable demo of Resident Evil Requiem. The game haven’t released a playable demo of any sort, so for those looking to try before buying, this is your rare shot of doing so. Completing the demo will earn you a Resident Evil Requiem sticker set.
There’s also a shooting range mini-game where you shoot zombies. Not with real firearms or live ammunition, of course, Capcom specifically mentioned it will be a wooden pistol with soft rubber ammo. Score high at the shooting range and you get to walk away with exclusive prizes including an Umbrella Corporation Enamel Pin, Racoon City Welcome Sign Acrylic Keychain and a Resident Evil Requiem Edition Lanyard.
There’s also an Instagrammable photo spot. Share the pic on Instagram by tagging @capcomsg and the hashtag #RE9LaunchJakarata2026 and walk away with a Resident Evil Requiem Sticker Set.
There’s also a character vote, where fans can cast their vote on who their favourite Resident Evil character. Results will be announced post-event to see who’s the fan-favourite among RE fans in Indonesia.
Lastly, there’s also a merchandise booth at the launch event booth, where you can pick up various merch as well as a copy of Resident Evil Requiem for PS5 and PC. If you love the Resident Evil 30th Anniversary art featuring all the playable characters sitting in style, you can grab them as a tote bag, an acrylic stand or a metallic bookmark.
For those that can’t attend, the Resident Evil Launch Event in Jakarta will also be livestreamed, with stage programs hosted by Aldo of The Lazy Monday and Yudha (RESILOREID). You can catch the livestreams on Capcom Asia’s YouTube channel or on The Lazy Monday’s YouTube channel.
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth mainline entry to the survival horror series. Featuring new protagonist Grace Ashcroft and returning fave Leon S. Kennedy, Resident Evil Requiem see the duo return to Racoon City, whatever that’s left of it since the pivotal events as seen in various past games including Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Outbreak. The dual protagonists setup is split to offer a survival horror experience as well as some high action gameplay.
Resident Evil Requiem releases on February 27 for the PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
