Bully, the 2006 open-world action-adventure classic by Rockstar Games, is now available on PS4 and Xbox One.
Rockstar announced this news as the game joins the GTA+ Games Library for GTA+. Active subscribers can now download the game at no additional cost as one of the many perks from the monthly subscription service.
Bully is available as a standalone purchase on PlayStation Store (for RM71 in Malaysia) and Xbox Store (in regions where Xbox consoles are officially supported).
Based on this page from Rockstar Games support, the PS4 version of Bully is based on the original PS2 version re-released for PS4. PS5 players can play this version of Bully via backwards compatibility.
Meanwhile, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S version is based on Bully: Scholarship Edition released on the Xbox 360. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players can play Bully: Scholarship Edition via backwards combability.
Bully: Scholarship Edition includes extra content including more “missions, classes, clothing items, and 2-player online minigames”. So content-wise, Xbox players have the version with more things to do compared to on PlayStation.
Bully, otherwise known in PAL regions as Canis Canim Edit, puts players in the role of one young Jimmy Hopkins, a troublesome new student sent to study in the boarding school that is Bullworth Academy. Players will quickly learn that Jimmy isn’t as rotten as the adults see him as, and to survive the school year he’ll need to stand up for himself against bullies and the many (outdated) stereotypical cliques an American prep school would have including preppies, the jocks, the nerds and.. the greasers.
Bully is essentially what a GTA game is if its main story is based on the social dynamics of teenagers. There’s a dynamic time system so you have to go to class on time (or don’t and face the risk of getting busted by prefects or cops). Jimmy can be friendly or be mean to people just like in GTA and Red Dead Redemption. There’s an open world the goes beyond the campus to explore. You can customise what Jimmy wears. And it has a gripping storyline holds it all together.
Bully is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. It is available as a standalone purchase or as part of the GTA+ subscription.
