You like builders and tycoons? There’s plenty of them this year. And here’s another cool one. Parakasaurus is about building your own theme park but with dinosaurs.
If that sounds a lot like Jurassic World Evolution, which did got released this year, then yes it is. Only that it has a much brighter aesthetic and the dinos look all cute and cuddly. And you can give them hats!
Look at them all cute when they are let loose, gobbling those unfortunate visitors.
But all the bright and warming aesthetic lies a very compreshensive tycoon game. The two-man developer team WashBear Studio has many systems working to keep the dinos and parks tick. For example, you have to consider privacy for the dino exhibits. Such as highlighted here:
An like many tycoon games, it’s all about working with your available resources to gain profits. Entertain your guests, research to gain access for more things to decorate your park. So it should not just be a walk in a park.
Parkasaurus is out now on Steam Early Access for RM39. The Early Access should last from 6-8 months, the devs estimated. This version is described to be “the last phase of a pre-alpha version of development”, so bugs and crashes may happen as the games gets properly polished.
