Build A City On The Seas In Heavendock, Out Now On Steam Early Access

Heavendock puts the “sea” in city-builder, where you build a city in the middle of an ocean, and it’s out now on PC via Steam Early Access.

Developed by solo dev Yeo Ying Zhi (also known as YYZ) published by Different Tales, Heavendock casts you as a solo inventor and community leader who decides to build a colony somewhere adrift. From collecting driftwood and drinkable water, the settlement will then grow to the point you have farms, then submarines and rockets. The escalation of tech here is quick, and intentional.

Heavendock is not a survival city-builder. Rather, it’s a cozy city-builder about building cities on the sea (but not under the sea- you want Aquatico for that). And you have direct control of your avatar, looking from a top-down perspective which should remind you a bit of Animal Crossing.

100,000 players have checked out the Heavendock demo, which is still available should you are not part of the stats and curious to try it out.

The Early Access release includes an experimental feature- co-op multiplayer. Expect bugs and jank as it’s a work-in-progress, but you can invite friends over to your city on the sea.

Havendock is out now on Steam Early Access.
