Upcoming looter-shooter Borderlands 3 is slowly hyping up its release with marketing materials. The latest one showcases the playable characters, the Vault Hunters, as actual characters this time around.
The first Borderlands game, the Vault Hunters are essentially just different classes that also have different bark lines. But with each new entry, the playable characters continue to be fleshed out. The first gameplay footage of Borderlands 3 shows off that these characters have more personality than ever.
Anyway, the first of presumably four character trailers focus on the Irish hitman Zane Flynt. And of course, he’s in pub wallowing his sorrows and reflects on his long career as a killer for hire with his digi-clone.
Also, the Borderlands website is now updated with a quick overview of how his skills tree is split up.
Zane is the only Vault Hunter to be able to equip two Action Skills instead of one- sacrificing his ability to throw a normal grenade in the process. He can summon a digi-clone of himself, summon a drone, or bring out a barrier. If you love a character with options and like to tinker and respec the skill trees often, Zane will keep you busy.
Borderlands 3 will be out on September 13th for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One.
