Borderlands 3 Next-Gen Upgrade Available On PS5 and Xbox Series Launch

Borderlands 3 will be coming to next-gen consoles and offers a free next-gen upgrade to existing owners. Now 2K has announced when that’s coming out: right when the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 launches.

That means Borderlands 3 will arrive on November 10 for Xbox Series X|S and November 12 (US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea) and November 19 (rest of the world) for PS5.

Borderlands 3 on next-gen consoles allows players to play at 4K 60fps in single-player and online co-op, and can be played with three and four-player split-screen multiplayer.

All saves and DLC purchases can be carried over to the next-gen console, so long as it’s of the same console family (Xbox One to Xbox Series, PS4 to PS5) and if you’re using a physical copy- have an Xbox Series X or standard PS5 that has a disc drive.

The update that adds vertical split-screen to the current-gen console versions will arrive on November 10 for Xbox One and November 12 for PS4.
