E3 2019: Borderlands 2 Gets New DLC To Bridge The Story To Borderlands 3, Free For A Limited Time

Borderlands 2 has received a new DLC today. Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is a DLC that will bridge the events from Borderlands 2 to the upcoming Borderlands 3.

It adds a new level cap (80), a new rarity of weapons above Legendary (as datamines have suggested) called Effervescent, Butt Stallion making an appearance and it’s free.

Free, for a limited time. You have until July 8th at 6.59AM UTC (2.59PM Malaysian Time, +8GMT) on Steam and until July 9th, 11.59AM Malaysian Time on PS Store Asia to claim it for free.

Go here for Steam and here for PS Store Asia and claim it now.

You will need Borderlands 2, or the Borderlands Handsome Collection to play the DLC. The latter is free for PS Plus subscribers this month and is also pretty cheap on Steam.

It’s a nice little surprise, though there are a few leaks that have revealed its existence. Borderlands 3, the new shlooter sequel has a new cinematic trailer and will be showing off new gameplay for the third Vault Hunter, Moze, at E3 2019.
