That’s not a typo. Ylands (pronounced Islands) is made by the Czech Republic-based Bohemia Interactive, the team behind realistic shooters Arma, DayZ, the upcoming competitive shooter Argo. Ylands may not fit those games at first glance since it looks more like a Minecraft clone or the many survival/sandbox games out there in the market, but there’s more to it.
While you can just play it like a survival game with friends, the main draw is the built-in editor, as seen in various Bohemia games. Similar to, say, a creative mode in Minecraft, the editor allows rapid building and design of terrain and levels so you could make your own custom adventures with its own themes. From the typical stranded on an island scenarios to raiding tombs like Indiana Jones to racing 1940s race cars, there’s a huge amount of flexibility with the tools provided in Yslands. Mod support will be available as well.

This is not a newly announced game- folks in the know might already see this first revealed back in 2015. An early version of the game is available for purchase via their website here, but an early access version should land on Steam sometime soon.
