Blue Protocol, the MMO game by Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios, has locked a release date in Japan, June 14.
However, the Western release of the game has been delayed to 2024.
“With continued efforts to localize the deeply immersive stories and build the infrastructure needed to engage in multiplayer adventures and massive online raids against towering monsters, we’re working hard to ensure the best possible experience for our players at launch,” the statement reads.
The announcement also teased that despite a whole year of delay, Blue Protocol will run its PC Closed Beta test sometime this year.
It’s important to note that all communication of Blue Protocol points to a Western release rather than a global release. So there’s still doubt whether the game will be localised for the Southeast Asia market for now.
Blue Protocol was revealed to the mainstream gaming audience at the Game Awards 2022.
