The plucky first-party PlayStation Studios developer Bend Studio revealed a new logo today, and teased what to expect with their next game, a new IP.
The makers of Days Gone, Syphon Filter, the Resistance and Uncharted games on PSP and PS Vita, and Bubsy 3D have teased that this new IP will have multiplayer.
Bend Studio’s next game is also described to be built upon “the open world systems of Days Gone”.
Days Gone, as buggy as it may be at launch with not a strong critical reception (with some few exceptions) have some cool open world tricks. Long-distance traversal tied to a permanent mode of transport, in this case your motorcycle, and the crazy swarming not-zombie horde are among the cool features that could still be implemented in other titles.
We still have no idea what the new IP is themed on, so it’s still anyone’s guess. Their next game having a multiplayer component will be interesting, as the developers have done some cool things in that space as well with the Syphon Filter series.
Bend Studio, based in Oregon, USA, is currently hiring, which also includes remote work opportunities.
