Balsa Model Flight Simulator Is The Next Game From The Creator Of Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program is quite the game. And it’s getting a sequel. Meanwhile, the original creator of the game, Felipe “HarvesteR” Falanghe, has a new game in the works that tackle the simulation genre. At a smaller scale.

Balsa Model Flight Simulator has you create your own aeroplanes of any design you like. But it’s not a real plane- it’s a toy RC plane made of balsa wood.

Balsa wood is also pretty soft and malleable, great for making toy models but also easily broken apart with the slightest contact.

Just like Kerbal Space Program, expect a very in-depth editor to make your planes- it even lets you customise the interior and add paint jobs. Alongside that, you also get to fly your balsa wood planes around.

There will also be a multiplayer mode for 16 people, a single-player career mode a sandbox mode, and paintball combat so you can do model-scale dogfights.

Balsa Model Flight Simulator will be out in Steam Early Access sometime in Summer 2020. The game is being published by The Irregular Corporation, which has published PC Building Simulator.
