Kunos Simulazioni‘s racing sim Assetto Corsa Competizione has released a new DLC on PC. The new Challengers Pack DLC adds five new cars to the sports car racer.
The five new cars being added with this DLC are the following:
- Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II
- BMW M2 CS Racing
- Ferrari 488 GT3 Challenge Evo
- Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo 2
- Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992)
The highlight of the five new cars is the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. It’s a revised version of Audi’s previous GT3 challenger, but starting this year there’s one famous name that will be taking a ride in it: multiple MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi.
Rossi has recently retired from motorcycle racing and will be racing four-wheelers this year, competing in the 2022 GT World Challenge Europe. There will be multiple liveries for the Audi R8, including the Team WRT number 46 Audi which Rossi will be racing in.
Three other cars in this pack will be utilised in official esports events happening this year. The BMW M2 CR Racing will be used in the BMW Sim Time Attack by Assetto Corsa Competizione. The Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo is part of the Ferrari Velas Esports Series, and the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo 2 is used in “The Real Race”, Lamborghini’s official esports series.
Plus, the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is based on the latest 992 generation of the Porsche 911.
Assetto Corsa Competizione was first released in 2019, as the official tie-in game to what is now known today as the GT World Challenge series. As a result, the game specifically focuses on the GT3 (and via DLC, GT4) class of sports car racing.
Assetto Corsa Competizione Challengers Pack DLC is now available on PC (Steam) for RM50.
