Arena Of Valor, the mobile MOBA with many names, is now getting serious in pushing its esports potential. Announced today, the Arena Of Valor World Championship is set to be the biggest mobile esports tournament in terms of prize pool, which expected to go over $500,000 USD (roughly RM1,957,750). It will be held in Los Angeles, USA.
Nine teams from nine regions plus three wildcard picks will compete for a share of this prize pool. The regions are:
- Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau
- Singapore/Malaysia/The Philippines
- North America
- South America
Singapore, Malaysia and The Philippines shares one slot due to these three countries sharing the same server. Qualifiers to the AWC will start soon, with the top four teams finishing in the regional Valor Cup tournaments get a slot to the AWC qualifiers. The first Valor Cup is scheduled to kick off sometime this April.
