Ancient Arenas: Chariots Is Basically Motorsport Manager During The Roman Empire

Publisher Slitherine has announced a new game during the Home Of Wargamers Live event, one of them is Ancient Arenas: Chariots.

Developed by Creative Forge, Ancient Arenas: Chariots is a chariot racing simulator, set during the heights of the sport in ancient Rome.

You will be taking part in a chariot racing league, where you will be racing across the dozens of tracks located in the Roman empire. You will need to work hard, but also survive, if you ever want to be racing at the greatest stage at Circus Maximus.

The racing itself can take place both in real-time, where you issue orders and instructions on-the-fly, or you can execute a series of orders simultaneously and play it like a turn-based game.

Off the track, you will need to upgrade and expand your mansion, the base of operations. You can breed horses, train aurigas, build chariots, or even ask favours from the gods to give you an edge in the next race.

If for some reason you asked if Slitherine made a new Qvadriga, a chariot racing game published by them, then your wish has been granted. Though this time, Ancient Arenas: Chariots sounds like it took more cues from Motorsport Manager (or F1 Manager), which is not a bad thing.

Also, there’s now a game where you can appropriately put on the bardcore version of Gas Gas Gas, with lyrics in Classical Latin.

No release date has been set for Ancient Arenas: Chariots, but it’s coming to PC via Steam.
