AMD Reveals Radeon RX 6600 XT Graphics Card For 1080p Gaming

AMD has announced another new graphics card under the Radeon RX 6000 Series. The AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT is the new entry-level of this series of graphics cards “designed to deliver the ultimate high-framerate, high-fidelity and highly responsive 1080p gaming experience”.

Despite the RX 6600 XT sitting down on the totem pole of the many RDNA 2 architecture GPUs, it’s no slouch. With 8GB of GDDR6 memory, this graphics card can run max settings with more than 60fps (according to AMD, that is) on the many new AAA games on PC, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Forza Horizon 4, and Resident Evil Village.

And it’s more than enough to run the many esports-focused/ competitive multiplayer games at the max framerate your monitor can handle.

Plus, should you really want to push above 1080p, the RX 6600 XT supports AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, AMD’s open-source answer to Nvidia’s DLSS up-scaling tech, which allows games to run at a higher framerate while not sacrificing framerates.

The AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT is expected to release globally on August 11 for the price of $379 USD (roughly RM1,601+). Expect to see localised prices from various OEMs including ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE, XFX and Yeston as we get closer to the release date.
