ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE could set to be one of the most highly anticipated return for both fans and even newcomers of the long running series, as Bandai Namco showcases what’s coming to their Multiplayer Mode.
Separate from it’s Campaign Story Mode, two modes will be available for players to enjoy, that is Co-op Assault and Co-op Warfare, where one sees you working together to achieve the objective, while the latter is facing off in a team of four dogfighting other teams in aerial supremacy. Then we have Time-Limited Missions, special missions such as “Scramble” or “Emergency Sortie” will appear for a limited time for players to join in. with victory in either of these will earn them greater rewards. Along with Deathmatch (for both Teams and Solo), it seems like quite a complete package for those wanting to play amongst the skies online.
All of these are within the multiplayer component that’s expected to host about 100 players in a single lobby simultaneously, with your very own avatar that you can customize, along side acquiring and upgrading fighter jets for your battles.
ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE launches on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam on 2 October.
