A Plague Tale: Requiem Releasing This October, New Extended Gameplay Revealed

The sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence now has a firm release date. A Plague Tale: Requiem got a big trailer at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022, but there was also a separate livestream to reveal not only the exact release date, but about 10 minutes’ worth of new gameplay for the action-adventure title.

The gameplay shows a more rugged Amicia still on the run with his little brother Hugo in a medieval world where soldiers are out to get them and there’s a wild rat plague. It’s full of cinematic sequences, walky-talky bits, as well as some stealth and combat encounters.

But now you have the power of controlling the rat swarm. Though that doesn’t mean you’re safe from them, the gameplay ends with a sea of rats enough to fill a river coming at the duo.

If you like The Last Of Us and would rather play a new game than a remake of that PS3 title, A Plague Tale: Requiem should be what you might be looking for.

On PC, Nvidia has confirmed that the game will support Nvidia DLSS as well as ray tracing for players using Nvidia RTX graphics cards.

A Plague Tale: Requiem will be released on October 18 for the PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S as well as a cloud version for Nintendo Switch. The game will also be out day-1 on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
