New Gameplay Trailer For Next Street Fighter 6 Character Arjun Hits Hard

Here comes a new challenger. Capcom revealed yesterday the gameplay trailer of another Street Fighter 6 DLC character, the second of four as part of Year 4 of the still-alive fighting game.

Following up Yasmine is the new big guy in town, Arjun. A former police officer from India who is framed for his partner’s murder, Arjun is now on the run as he tries to put the pieces together and uncover what truly happened to them.

Arjun has Yoga Breathing techniques, capitalised as in the world of Street Fighter, Yoga can create some interesting effects, if you’re familiar with the fire-breathing, limb-extending Yoga practitioner Dhalsim. Arjun doesn’t seem to be from the same Yoga school, however, as his breathing tech is mostly about spitting out wind. Really strong wind. Not like turbulent like Rashid, but like a bullets out of a submachine gun as seen with his level 1 Super Art, Howling Destruction.

And if that’s not enough, his large frame (bigger than the resident big hitter Marissa), moves with armour properties (he can walk through some attacks), the ability to do chip damage even when his hits are blocked, a shoulder check that can move him across the screen like a hurtling mass of pain, and to top it off, he can set up traps as well with those pillars erected from him stomping the ground really hard. He hits big, and can be technical, and a fighting style designed to overwhelm the opponent.

Shout out to Arjun’s level 3 Super Art, Yaksha’s Order, which the official description says that he “disrupts his opponent’s inner ear before he performs a cinematic devastating attack,” and said cinematic devastating attack is choreographed straight out of Bollywood, or rather, Indian cinema in general.

For those keeping tabs of video game characters with an Indian heritage named Arjun that debuted in 2026 by counting each instance with a nickel, that count is now at two. The previous one being Arjun Devraj, the protagonist of Saros.

As with all Year 4 DLC characters of Street Fighter 6, they will be available in Fighting Ground and Battle Hub, but no World Tour content associated with them.

The next DLC character to be release after Arjun will be the most anticipated one, as Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series will be making a guest appearance. Tifa isn’t entirely new to fighting games, her first rodeo is a guest appearance in Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring.

Arjun will make his presence on the streets of Street Fighter 6 on October 13. Street Fighter 6 is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
