Is that a Supra? Yes it is, again. Playground Games have revealed that the 2020 Toyota GR Supra is coming to Forza Horizon 5.
In the latest Forza Horizon 5: Let’s ¡Go! broadcast, game director Mike Brown introduced the Mark V Supra by doing a little walk-and-talk that ultimately leads to the reveal of the real car. Similar to that time when they revealed the older Mark IV Supra for Forza Horizon 4, in fact.
The Japanese car marque has started to reappear again in more video games as of late, though the new Supra rarely appears outside of the Gran Turismo series, which Toyota has deep collaborations with. So it’s good to see the new Supra is coming to Forza Horizon 5, we don’t need to pretend the new BMW Z4 is a Supra anymore.
This is also the first new car reveal for Forza Horizon 5 since the first E3 2021 reveal.
The live stream also showed some glimpses of car customisation. There is the heritage kit, as seen on the Toyota GR Supra Heritage Edition revealed at SEMA 2019 that gives the new Supra a Mark IV feel- including the iconic rear wing.
But if you want to slap on a big wing, you can do that too. And there’s at least one widebody kit. There are HKS rear wing and widebody kit options for the Supra. New aftermarket wheels are coming too.
The Toyota GR Supra will be a free gift for all Forza Horizon 5 players, with the heritage included for free as well.
The customisation appears during the 9:00 mark of the livestream.
In addition, the broadcast also revealed the full map of Forza Horizon 5’s Mexico, as well as showcasing some bit of gameplay.
Forza Horizon 5 releases on November 9 for the PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as well as coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch.
