2019 eSports WRC Grand Final Happening October 5th, Here’s Where To Watch It

This weekend is the Wales Rally GB for the World Rally Championship. Alongside that, on October 5th, will be the 2019 eSports WRC Grand Final.

The official esports tournament for WRC has commenced over 8 months this year, and have narrowed down to nine players vying for the 2019 title. This includes 2017 champion Lohan “Nexl” Blanc and 2018 champion Jon Armstrong. You might have heard of Jon Armstrong who has been consulting on some other rally game recently.

The latest version of WRC game, WRC 8, is being played here. The nine players will be eight qualifying stages at the live event, to narrow down to the top 4, which will proceed to the Grand Finals proper featuring three special stages.

The 2019 eSports WRC Grand Final will be broadcasted on various channels including:

The winner of the 2019 eSports WRC will get a Hyundai i20 Coupe, the road version of the WRC car. It also comes with a co-driving experience with Hyundai rally driver Dani Sordo in the Rally de España.

WRC 8 publisher Bigben also reveals that WRC esports will return in 2020. It will begin sometime in January, during the Rallye Monte Carlo.

WRC 8 is good by the way. Our review calls it “the definitive edition for the series so far,”
