Better late than never. Hoyoverse’s free-to-play “action-RPG” Zenless Zone Zero will be available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
ZZZ on Xbox Series consoles support DirectX Ray Tracing, HDR, 4K resolution at 60 FPS and Quick Resume. There’s also “fine-tuned Xbox controller optimizations” which includes “customised vibration feedback” (the current-gen Xbox Wireless Controller designed for Xbox Series doesn’t have adaptive triggers that allow for variable pressure when squeezing the triggers, instead they have vibration motors on the triggers).
Just like the rest of the platforms, ZZZ on Xbox also supports cross-progression across platforms.
Released into 1.0 in July 2024, Zenless Zone Zero has been gradually evolving with new content and gameplay changes. What was initially a game based on character-action arena combat with an inventive dungeon crawling mechanic abstracted by the use of TV arrays is now a full-blown action-RPG with free-form exploration, for better or worse.
Currently at Version 1.6, Hoyoverse has teased version 2.0 of the game, where players will be travelling to the Waifei Peninsula in this urban RPG.
This is the second of Hoyoverse’s currently active live service games being made available on Xbox, following Genshin Impact.
Zenless Zone Zero is currently available on the PS5, PC, iOS and Android.
