PlayStation Asia has now provided more information on the availability of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, a collection of limited-time PS5 console and peripherals designed as a throwback to the original PlayStation.
Unfortunately in Malaysia, the PS5 Pro Bundle won’t be available. This is the one with 12,300 units made and this country isn’t allocated any of them.
It will be available for pre-order in Singapore though. It’s the only country in Southeast Asia where it is available.
Given the amount of things bundled in the PS5 Pro bundle, and the MSRP for a PS5 Pro in Malaysia is close to RM4,000 (in other words, very expensive), it’s sort of understandable why Sony/PlayStation has made the choice, but there will definitely be fans here that are disappointed.
The good news is, the rest of the 30th Anniversary Collection items will be sold here in Malaysia. So the PS5 “Slim” bundle, and the standalone peripherals that are the PS Portal, the DualSense Edge and DualSense controller are available for purchase in the country. Unlike the PS5 Pro Bundle, there is no definite numbering of these limited edition items, so chances are it’s likely easier to get hands on these.
Official pricing has yet to be made available.
PlayStation fans in Malaysia looking to pre-order the available PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection items can do so starting September 26, 10 AM local time at participating retailers.
