Xbox Series X Getting Console Wraps

For Xbox Series X owners who look at PS5 owners that can customise their console with custom colour plates in envy, Xbox has answered your prayers. Xbox Series X is getting Console Wraps.

These are four-faced wraps made out of printed solid silicone designed to fit snuggly like a phone case for your rectangular-shaped console. It’s not stuck on using adhesive, nor does it requires any other special tools to install. The back faces just snap together via velcro.

The console wrap covers the three main facades. The back of the console is slightly covered- mostly so the cover can attach together. The top part where the air intake is is left untouched. There are designs on the underside of the wraps, but because of the way it is designed, they are not reversible.

Two console wrap designs have been revealed: Mineral Camo and a special Starfield Edition. These should match several accessories with including the Xbox Wireless Controller and the Xbox Wireless Headset which have similar schemes before.

More designs should be coming in the future.

It’s a neat solution for customisation that definitely took a page or two on how mobile accessories are designed.

There are Xbox Series S console wraps yet, however. Due to its different form factor, these console wraps obviously won’t work with the tinier, arguably more popular, version of the Xbox Series console.

The Xbox Series X console wrap will launch starting this October, available in the US, Canada and Europe.

The Xbox Series consoles are not yet available in Southeast Asia outside of Singapore. Microsoft has yet to expand its Xbox offerings to the whole region outside of bringing PC Game Pass.
