“Netflix for games” now sounds like a good idea. Microsoft has revealed some stats about its Xbox Game Pass subscription service. And it’s looking good.
Since March 2020, Xbox Game Pass has 10 million subscribers, over the 41 countries the service is officially supporting.
And these members are not just here for the games. In the period between March and April 2020, members have been adding over 23 million friends on Xbox Live (70% increase) and playing twice as much of multiplayer games (130% increase). This may be more due to the current global situation where we are mostly at home, but it does make Xbox Game Pass more relevant than ever.
Numbers-wise, looks like Xbox Game Pass is looking good. Now let’s hope it will add new countries that can use the service. In the meantime, there are workarounds you can use if you want to play over 100 Xbox and PC games for $4.99 USD a month in non-supported countries.
