Xbox Adds The Final 70 Backwards Compatible Games, Won’t Add More Due To Licensing And Technical Issues

It is quite a night for Xbox as they celebrated their 20th Anniversary with not only shadow-dropping the Halo Infinite multiplayer, but also announced that 70 backwards compatible games are heading to the Xbox storefront.

Which the latter news may feel abrupt, as Xbox also reveal that this will be the final batch of Back-compat games due to a variety of reasons.

Besides adding titles such as the Max Payne series, Ridge Racer 6 and even the original NieR Gestalt to name a few games, this will be the final batch of games that Xbox will bringing from both Xbox original and 360 days due to licensing and technical issues, so sadly no Steel Battalion or even Forza Motorsport 4 within the Xbox Series consoles.

In any case, all 76 games are now available to purchase on the Xbox store. You can check the whole list of backwards compatible Xbox games here.
