Watch Dogs Legion Ends Post-Launch Content Updates

Looks like Ubisoft is ending post-launch content updates for the open-world action-adventure game Watch Dogs Legion.

In a blog post, the devs confirmed that Title Update 5.6, released back in September 2021, was the last update for Watch Dogs Legion.

Currently, Season 4 of the Online Mode is currently still running until January 22, and Season 5 will run after that. Once that’s done, the game will continue cycling Seasons 3-5 to allow players to get any cosmetics and rewards from the seasons.

Watch Dogs Legion only got a year of content updates, all culminated with the release of the Bloodline DLC (review of that here) that brought back popular characters from Watch Dogs 1 and 2. The game even added Legion Of The Dead, which was billed as a separate mode that turns near-future dystopian London into a survival game about a zombie outbreak.

Ubisoft is known for having long post-launch support for its games. Rainbow Six Siege is still going strong and near the end of Year 6, The Crew 2 is now in Year 4. Heck even For Honor, the multiplayer medieval brawler is still being supported with new content.

So it’s fascinating to see Ubisoft moving on from Legion after only a year of post-launch support. It’s the end of new content for Watch Dogs Legion, but who knows. If for some reason it got popular again you might see it getting The Division 2 treatment. But for now, that’s it for new content for Watch Dogs Legion.
