Ubisoft’s open-world game Watch Dogs Legion is getting a PvE zombies mode.
Called Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead (heh), this turns the open-world game into a rouge-lite, where you can go solo or with up to three other players (4-player co-op) can roam the London streets to collect supplies, and take down the undead.
The mode is currently in alpha, and only on PC for now. The folks at IGN have 21 minutes of this brand new game mode in action here:
“The design strategy on Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead was to expand on existing systems and flip them on its head,” said Watch Dogs Legion online director Jean-Pascal Cambiotti in an interview with IGN. Making use of the gadgets from the many recruitable NPCs and design a rouge-lite system around it is how Legion of the Dead came about.
Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead will arrive as part of Title Update 4.5, releasing on June 1.
