Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Releasing This November

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, the RTS by Frontier based on the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe, now has a release date.

At the Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live, a new trailer was shown that not only revealed the third of four factions (Nighthaunts) but also revealed gameplay.

The Nighthaunts are joined by the Stormcast Eternals and the Orruk Kruleboyz plus one more unrevealed faction, playable in all modes.

Realms Of Ruin will feature a “cinematic single-player campaign”, a multiplayer mode supporting 1V1 and 2V2 skirmishes (with cross-play) and Conquest Mode.

Conquest Mode is a single-player challenge mode where players are thrown into procedurally-generated maps in pursuit of racking up a high score. These are 1V1 affairs but with some “rule-breaking twists”. So expect modifiers like reduced squad vision, faster movement speeds or a strict time limit as curveballs being thrown at any time. Players can also pick a bonus modifier, or choose to forgo that and take an extra life to prolong their run.

Conquest Mode runs are seeded, so you can share and have others try attempting the same run by sharing the seed number.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is designed for PC and consoles from the start, so expect good controller support for this RTS. And it’s aimed not just at RTS vets but also accommodating players new to the genre as well.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin will be out on November 17 for PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
