Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 Launches Next Week

Ready your boltguns to slay xenos in the name of the Emperor, again. The long-awaited sequel to Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine will be available on September 99.

While the original 2011 game was developed by Relic, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is by Saber Interactive, an established developer in all kinds of genres, from horde shooters like World War Z to vehicle simulators like Snowrunner.

In Space Marine 2, players take on the role of Titus, a Space Marine under the Ultramarines chapter. As a big hulking mass of superhuman and destruction, Titus will be fighting against Orks and the forces of Chaos in this third-person horde shooter and experience another viewpoint into “the grim darkness of the far future [where] there is only war”.

Titus has some history. He served the Emperor as a Captain of the Ultramarines, somehow survived the corruption of Chaos but in doing so got himself into the wrong of the inqusitors and have to serve a long stint as part of the Deathwatch. He eventually redeemed himslef and is now back with the Ultramarines, reinstated as a Lieutenant.

Published by Focus Entertainment, Space Marine 2’s physical release in Asia is being distrbuted by Game Source Entertainment. Both the Standard Edition and the Limited “Gold Edition” of Space Marine 2 will be made avaialble in the region. GSE recently just launched an official flagship store on the e-commerce site HKTVmall (for Southeast Asians, think Shopee/Lazada for the Hong Kong market) where customers can purchase physical copies of games, as well as game consoles and peripherals, direct from the distributor.

Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 launches on September 9 for PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
