Chucklefish’s upcoming Advance Wars-like multiplayer strategy game Wargroove is coming out in a matter of days, but the publisher/developer has one more announcement to make: cross-play.
In a tweet, Chucklefish announced that Wargroove will support cross-platform play with all three of its initial launch platforms, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Sometimes your friends aren't in the same faction as you, and that's okay!

While the game has an extensive single-player campaign, it also features multiplayer modes and a feature to create your own map and scenarios that can later be shared with other players. So cross-play sounds like a neat and thoughtful addition.
This may also explain why the game is yet to have a release date for PS4, though it will be coming soon. So far, only Fortnite and Rocket League have cross-play with all the four big gaming platforms.
Wargroove will be out on February 1sr for PC (Steam), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
