With Uplay being rebranded to Ubisoft Connect tomorrow, Ubisoft will also be rebranding its monthly game subscription service, Uplay+, to Ubisoft+.
Ubisoft+ is similar to Xbox Game Pass and EA Play where it’s a monthly subscription that gives you access to a catalogue of games. In this case, over 100 games including upcoming releases like Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Immortals: Fenyx Rising. The service is still in beta, costs $14.99 USD per month and still limited in availability- it’s not available in Southeast Asia.
Currently it’s only available on PC but when the service rebrands to Ubisoft+, it will include access to the games on game streaming services Stadia and Amazon Luna for no additional fee. Ubisoft already has a subscription channel coming to Luna– which alludes this name change now that we think about it.
For Stadia, you actually get to just pay a monthly subscription for Ubisoft games instead of buying it. And no Stadia Pro is required- a free Stadia account is enough.
Games played on Ubisoft+ will have cross-saves- you can carry over progression between these platforms.
Ubisoft+ will arrive on November 10 and will include access to games on Amazon Luna. Integration with Stadia will arrive later this year.
