Ubisoft+ Coming To PlayStation Soon, New Ubisoft+ Classics Subscription Included In PS Plus Extra, Deluxe/Premium Tiers

Ubisoft has announced that its game subscription service Ubisoft+ will be available on PlayStation consoles. Previously, Ubisoft+ was only available on PC, and the streaming platforms Stadia and Amazon Luna.

Also, Ubisoft+ on PC is currently not available for Southeast Asia players.

However, players in SEA will get a taste of Ubisoft+ soon, albeit via the release of a new lower tier as part of PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers. This is called Ubisoft+ Classics.

At launch, Ubisoft+ Classics includes a curated selection of Ubisoft games including:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division
  • For Honor
  • Child of Light
  • Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
  • Far Cry 4
  • Steep
  • South Park: The Fractured but Whole
  • The Crew 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Watch_Dogs
  • Werewolves Within

There will be up to 27 titles included in Ubisoft+ Classics when it’s launched alongside the new PS Plus tiers and will grow to be more than 50 games by the end of the year. Expect more games to be added to the list, though the full list of games may vary in different countries or regions.

The higher tier Ubisoft+ subscription includes day-1 releases of new games from the publisher, access to premium editions of the games as well as a larger library of games (over 100). Hence, it’s why there will be a separate option to subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PlayStation coming soon.

The inclusion of Ubisoft+ Classics as part of PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe/Premium tiers is akin to Xbox Game Pass bundling together a subscription to EA Play. EA also has a more premium tier of EA Play, EA Play Pro, which includes day-1 game releases and is separate from the bundle.

EA Play is available on PlayStation but not EA Play Pro, so Ubisoft will be the first third-party publisher to provide a standalone subscription with day-1 releases for players on PlayStation.

Ubisoft also has plans to offer Ubisoft+ on Xbox as well in the future.
