Two Point Museum is getting a free update on April 12 which will include a new feature: Japanese voice acting.
The series has been iconic for its dry British humour and quality English puns, but looks like publisher Sega is willing to add a different voice dub for folks who speak, understand, or prefer Japanese.
And Sega is bringing in some top names to voice the radio DJs and announcers, including Saki Fujita as the PA announcer. If you ever want to hear a non-Vocaloid Hatsune Miku passive aggressively warn museum patrons not to touch a man-eating plant that can turn people into clowns with her gentle voice, well, you can soon.
The following are the voice cast for the Japanese dub for Two Point Museum:
- PA Announcer Tannoy: Saki Fujita
- DJ Ricky: Yusuke Shirai
- DJ Harrison: Kanehira Yamamoto
- DJ Hayley: Maaya Uchida
- DJ Monty: Hikary Yoshihara
- DJ Nigel: Yuki Tai
Some exhibits in Two Point Museum, at least one of them, are particularly inspired by Japanese culture. No way the Brits would have a Nigiri Fish, fish that resembles the look of a Nigiri sushi which is made of raw fish.
This new trailer has the Japanese VO for Monty, Hikaru Yoshihara, explaining the premise of this museum curation builder/management sim. Though you won’t be hearing these voices this crisp, all the in-game DJs and announcers are heard via a PA system, to give it more of that dingy, homey feel.
The Japanese voice over is a free update and will go live on all platforms on April 12.
Two Point Museum is out now on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
